NEWS FLASH

Our country is in sorrow today.Typhoon Sendong hit  Dumaguete City and other neighboring cities yesterday   .  The whole city was flooded. Dikes collapsed, bridges and houses destroyed and  so many lives lost. The last news was there were already 436 confirmed  dead and so many are still missing.  Our city was expecting the storm but the amount of rainfall was I guess miscalculated.  Lots of houses were swept away especially those living near the river banks.  This was the worst since 1997.  I hope the government will be sincere in helping those who were affected.  How lucky we are because only my garden was flooded. I can't complain anymore after seeing all the photos of the aftermath. God bless our city and those who lost their children and love ones.
